SEND

We believe in the potential for every child, and are committed to providing an education in which all can fulfil their potential. This includes children with special educational needs or disabilities. Like all mainstream schools, our classes include children with different strengths and weaknesses, and teachers and support staff work hard to ensure a truly inclusive school.

If you think that your child may have a specific special educational need, the first step is to speak to your child’s class teacher about your concerns. It may then be appropriate to talk to the school’s SENDCo (Alys Stephens, who can be contacted via the school office).

Likewise, if we have a concern about your child, we will arrange to talk to you about their progress and their needs. We firmly believe that children do best when home and school work closely together.
